updating!

it's been a while since my last post. not because i'm not having fun but because i have been lazy. these two weeks have been fun. tons of work but also some chill time. last friday we all went out to this bar called "El Alamo" it's supposed to be an american bar. actually its just a bar with american music hehehehe. the best thing about el amalo its that you pay a fee of $30 pesos = $7.50USD and you get a pitcher of beer.... wait till you see the picture! it's a huge!!!

after that we went to a club called cocoliche. pretty good music but the club wasn't actually pretty.

this past monday and tuesday were a holiday in celebration of argentina's bicentenary. unfortunately, we had to work because we had to brainstorm for a coke presentation. we all came out with great ideas!!

what else??!!! hmmm it's getting cold as hell. friday again we went to el alamo.. saturday was rainny, but still we manage to go out and get some shopping done. today i went to work again it was the shooting for the new Nike commercial.

since our time here we have been working and brainstorming for the new nike campaign. it's a marathon where if you get together with friends and run 5,900k together they send you to chicago to run the marathon. pretty cool.

it was a pretty sweet day except it was freezing as hell. it's getting pretty cold... can't wait for the sun and the beach!!!
here are a few pics of our nights out!

17.5.10

PRUUUUUMMMM, PRUUUMM is cold!

omfg, baires is getting colder by the minute! not good ;-(
it really makes me miss the beach and the sun!! i'm not meant to coexist in cold weather hehehehehehe.

anyway, another week full of work and new possibilities.

the picture from above is my daily scenario. everyday i see dog walkers with at least 10-15 dogs at the same time. baires is full of dogs and with that comes shit everywhere! it's 10 times worst than miami, i swear!

anyway, i thought it was really cute.

---->> funny joke: i took the bus today and i ask the bus driver for directions. inmediately, he knew i am not from here, so the 1million dollar question comes along:
"where are you from?!" i said: Puerto Rico and he's face changed completely....
he inmediately told me he loves reggaeton specially wisin & yandel. i'm like cool! trying to ignore him. not really working. soooo, he comes again... i love cosculluela... i'm like i dnt know who's that! he gave me the look. i really don't follow reggaeton so i'm lost. he takes a cd or something and plays it out loud in the bus!!! PRUUUUMMMMM, PRUUUUUMMMMMMM, PRUUUMMMMMMMMMM!!! oh yes!! reggaeton out load for you my peeps! i wanted to die! there was an old lady next to me. her face was priceless. almost as mine.... sooo yes! be careful when specifying nationality.. maybe next time the driver will make you throw some moves... lol lol lol

16.5.10

chillaxing

sup!!! i'm upset is sunday! ;-(
and time is flying... 4 more weeks and its over! can't really imagine that.

i'm trying to see as much as i can before leaving. however, for some reason i just don't like to move on sundays hehehehehe lazy as hell!

yest. i went to recoleta and check everything out. got the touristic pics and so on. at night we all went together to have dinner. pretty good! after that we went for a few drinks at this really cool dutch bar.

funny... at the rest. since we are americans they change the music for tupac! omfg, it was a nice fine dinning restaurant. tupac wasn't exactly the type of music for that place... typical stereotypes, what can i say?

it's getting really cold boooooooooooooooo ... it's 55F but its so humid it feels like 30 hehehehehehe.... can't wait for the sun and the beach!!

for now just waiting for news hopefully this week i will know what's my next destination!

La Boluda esta cansada!

yeah, that explains the lack of postings! i have been really busy this week. tons of work and i got sick again.

this week we worked on the installation for the 48 barrios in celebration for buenos aires bicentenary. the exhibition is currently displayed at el centro cultural de recoleta.

after the exhibition we all went out for some drinks and as always had some fun ;-)
pictures later to come!!!

also thank god for pharmacies around here. you don't need a prescription if you go to a small pharmacy!! that's how i got the good stuff.

today we had luch with Furia's new partner it was really good.

Tomorrow hopefully i will go around for a walk and some sightseeing.

In the meantime, here are some pics from this awesome diner place we went called MUU @ Palermo. Desserts were amazing!!

ps: time is flying... i only have 4 more weeks here and it's over :-(

El Tigueron te va a coger...

no pare, sigue sigue! hehehehe yes! today we (brad, quinn + collin and me) went to TIGRE. Tigre is a small city on the outside of capital baires. it' pretty nice, surrunder by rio de la plata and restaurants.

the town sits on a island with an exit to the Paraná Delta. it's pretty sweet the town itself is pretty small and it has "the biggest amusement park in latin america" or so they say, the fruit market and tons of restaurants.

we took a water taxi to see a little bit of the Delta and it's incredible. imagine living on the country side, far away, wood houses, full of green and nature but instead of having a main road the only way of transportation is a boat!!!

they have police boats, emergency boats, a supermarket boat that goes around weekly. they even have schools and kids take the boats... soo funny!

it was cold, full of fog and smoke from the fireplaces.

see all the pics here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=176670&id=500522675&saved#!/album.php?aid=176670&id=500522675

also, i have the biggest cotton candy ever!!!

Son of Bully?!

hehehehe yeah! don't freak out... this is one of the headlines for Bully, a cashmere sweater clothing line. at the agency they are on charge of the store advertisement and as part of the launching they did a huge party!

some of the guys design bags and other did an installation. party was Thursday night and we all got wasted! was actually the first night we went all out together and we definitely had fuuuuun! ;-)

there was FREE champagne + wine, so the rest is history!

look at the pics from the party.... pretty sweet!

re-vamping the adventures!

as many of you, or whoever reads this i just updated the look!
i added purple just because is my favorite color and a nice headline.

birds because it symbolizes movement and freedom and me in some ways!

hopefully it will be a warmer and nicer experience when reading my adventures!

now, back to sketches!!

PEACE!

i have a feeling....

OMFG!! i'm a truly monday hater! reporting LIVE from my kitchen table hehehehehe

weekend was good! had a few beers, nice dinners and good chats! went sunday to puerto madero and posted some pics on facebook.

kind of crazy today it was the deadline to decide for my next quarter internship.
i truly made the decision at last minute... so let it be! all i can say its that it might be either NYC or SAN FRAN! soo be ready cause i'm going back to the states!

for the rest, tons of work. keeping up the book and producing some more work! exciting.

in the meantime, here's a little sneak peak of my video from buenos aires. the challenge was to produce a 30seconds clip, AND of course that's almost impossible for me. i talk to much to resume everything in 30seconds!! hehehehe

i will keep adding up to it, it's kind of hard to catch up with all the pics and stuff but eventually everything will be posted!

for now a few pics from this week, including the PENIS ice crem cone! hehehehehe

and the link for the video ;-)

passing on my GERMS!

hi there world wide world! hehehehe
another week here in Baires! i've been pretty sick this week. i missed work monday and half tuesday. kind of sucks to be sick, it makes me homesick. when you are sick all you want to is be in bed and pjs and well i wanted to do that in M I A M I!!

oh yes, the sunshine state was in my mind!! unfortunately, i don't have an apt, home or even my dog ;-( -- btw, cocho is having fun with grandma and grandpa. he's taking walks and practicing his wolf skills... he's getting so much better.

we do skype everyone now and there and he freaks out.

what else?!! geez, here in Baires meds are available without prescription. i went and ask for something for the cold. apparently, i should not mix that with my US FDA approved medicine!!! i woke up tuesday morning freaking out. couldn't recognize where i was. it was horrible. my roomates where not here so i kind of panic for a few minutes till i finally realized i was in argentina!! fucking crazy! i know, i am a drama queen!! hehehehehe

this week has been full of work tons of brainstorming for coca cola, nike and geez thinking where should i apply for my next quarter.

that will be a mystery till i get it all resolved. deadline is monday morning!!! OMFG

hmmm, hopefully i will get better and i will get a chance to visit some touristy sites this week!

for now peace, i have to design nike logos! aghhhhh procrastination is essential.

25.4.10

Paty Aventuras... Uh Uh!

wooooow!!! what a week! we left the agency early, went silk screening, got sick and slept on the bus for 1:30hrs!!! oh yes!!!

friday, on my way to work i decided to take "el colectivo" which is the bus. apparently, i fell asleep for one whole hour! when i woke up i was like where are am i? so i asked the driver how much longer for my exit Ave. Rivadavia and he was like we passed that 30 minutes ago.

i immediately ask him why you didn't call for my stop?! i specifically asked him to do so, and he said i did call twice the exit but you didn't move. little detail... i was with my headphone soooooooo i didn't hear anything!

i was the only one at the bus chilling with the driver. i got to work around 1:30pm -- i was supposed to be at work at 11:00am. AWESOME!!

saturday, i went to "la carrera de los mozos" really funny. all the waitress and servers get together and run for one mile carrying their trays. really fun!!

at night we had a house party.. oh yeah! it was good until our guest decided to get delivered FERNET! Fernet is a type of amaro, a bitter, aromatic spirit with herbs. tastes like robitussin or worst! and they mixed it with coca cola... even worst!!!

i tried it... never again! its horrible. anyway house party was good. a whole mess we woke up today but that's ok.

i'm sick fighting the cold and hoping to feel better!

Los 6 Chiflados!

Another night en la ciudad de la furia!!

It's time to meet up the gang here in Baires! You will see their photo plus my sketches of them. It was for my illustration class... BE AWARE: thank god i'm not an illustrator.

Anyway here they are:

QUINN: Art Director. The other roommie. She's a south girl who loves Anthropologie and ñoqui (that's how the say here). Quinn eats ice cream every single day... sometimes twice a day!! She's liking it here -- hehehehe

JACQUIE: Art Director. She's a crazy bee who loves to dance... all the time!!! she comes from the miami ad school Minneapolis. Jacquie is Emmet's roommate

EMMET: Graphic Designer. She's from Sweden ;-) and has as many names as you can think. Her name is Emmet Emma Isabella Grahn... awww out of breath.. lol! She's a sweetheart.. and she loves orange! She reminds me of a god friend, Carla.

BRAD: Art Director. He's one of the roommies. He's from Detroit but went to school in Miami. We (Quinn and I) are always making fun of him. He's also known as Brian the mexican or Benjamin... lol

ALBERTO: Copywriter. Dominican and crazy as well! Always makes funny faces and he has the weirdest slangs ever. Like: Ah no, Chocolate... which means it's cool. hehehehehehe i think that what it means.

So this is the whole gang! We are all the FURIA: ARGENTINA quarter away kids!

20.4.10

Week 3

Yay!! week three already in Argentina... time flies!
So far this week is going pretty sweet.... the boss is out for vacations which means leaving on time the office ;-)

Since everyone ask me how is it really Argentina I thought I might highlight 10 important points:

1. Here they don't have CHURRASCO (skirt steak). In Argentina Churrasco is how they call meat!! So good luck ordering a "churrasco" you might get whole parrillada.

2. Bife de Chorizo: sounds like a lean chorizo hehehehe NOT! It's pretty much a New York Strip Steak

3. The toilet is different... to flush you press a square button on the wall.

4. I still have to see, but there's NOT that many hot guys in every corner as they say!!! ;-((

5. Everything has DELIVERY service... everything! Laundry, ice cream, food, BEER! you name it. The other day I called the laundry and they came and pick up the dirty clothes... hehehehehe AWESOME!!

6. Trash is left on the sidewalk and a guy comes and picks it up but not in a truck... instead is a huge bag with wheels... weird

7. THERE'S NO SOUR CREAM!!! The saddest news ever!!

8. Membrillo is the best fruit ever!!! I don't even know how to explain it. It looks like guava paste but better!!!

9. Coca Cola is cheaper than water.

10. Chimichurri criollo is red and made with red herbs... delicioso

18.4.10

FORRO!!!

hehehehe i like the sound of that word! it means asshole! hehehehe
i'm learning fast all this slang ;-)

soooo, it's Sunday! boooo ;-(

this week was kind of good. better than the last one. it was rainy and grey but at least we left work kind of early.

Thursday we went to the gallery show of Nate Williams
check out his website, he's an American illustrator who lives in B.A. and his work its pretty sweet. the good thing was that they were doing free silkscreen of his artwork.
who all went and got pimp out t-shirts of his work!

friday, was as sweet as it can be! TGIF!! we wanted to go out but we all fell asleep.

saturday, was good! I kind of miss Miami and my apt, my car, COCHO! i know it sucks! Don't get me wrong I like it here, but I miss my rutine. So, then saturday I spent the whole day by myself! Sweet as hell!!!! Went to the mall -- Alto Palmero and walk around Palermo and came back to the house.

At night, Jackie + Emmet locked themselves out so they stayed here. We all went for dinner at Lupita's an amazing mexican restaurant here at Las Cañitas! After that, we all wanted to go to this bar Jacko's where we were going to be meeting some guys from work but it didn't happened. The line was way too long! So we stayed having sweet drinks and chilling at a bar called Unico @Palermo Hollywood.

Today is sunday and damn I have sooo much to do, it's sick!

Tomorrow, we are going to week 3 here! 7 more weeks and it's over!! ;-( time flies when you've fun!

When you've a shitty day just WING-IT!

Yes, that what this Tuesday looked like. It has been raining all day and it's cold!!!!!
again, a non-stop walking day, but instead wet! not cool.

went today to see "La Boca" one of the barrios here. everybody scared me about the place. like be careful, don't take your camera. don't talk to anyone...
seriously, the neighborhood was just like "La Perla" in PR. it was bad, but nothing that i hadn't seeing before.

it was really colorful and for what i heard its one of the oldest areas of B.A. it was full of graffiti, art and tango! pics later to come! i'm tired to upload... lol

you bet i try to dance tango! i even have the picture as evidence. next time i will wear my sexy outfit to kick it up a notch -- lol

after that i went to "Puerto Madero" another area but it was sooo shitty outside that i didn't had an option but to leave. that's when out of the blue i saw this magnificent location called: HOOTERS!!! hehehehe

my eyes were amused and you bet i wing-it! wings and beer, the lunch of champions. although, i have to say Argentinian hooters girls have zero game next to the us chicas.
i guess i'm used to the blondie bimbo girls! anyway it was good, spicy as hell. no tabasco here but the real deal... AJII AJIII AJII!!! hehehehehe

ps: we just had ice cream delivered to the apt... AWESOME!!!

You know it... Monday Hater

Oh my! What a day!!! We all have been crazy busy taking pictures of the 48 neighborhoods of B.A.

This year Buenos Aires will celebrate the bicentenary as a city and as part of the agency clients they are putting together a book with some local artist interpretation of each "barrio" and we are shooting the essence of that barrio. Which means tons of walking and hours of looking at the map and trying to figure out where the hell I am.

Yesterday, I did the area of Congreso and Monserrat. Is mostly what they call "microcentro" = downtown.

Went to the Obelisco, Ave. Cabaldo which is like NYC Broadway.

Look at the pics here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/43576168@N06/sets/72157623850080538/

Of course there's always some kind if misunderstanding, hehehe. ... I keep forgetting that " coger" in this country means TO FUCK!' soo unintentionally I told a men on the street: "donde puedo coger el metro/bus!" he look at me and was like : miss I think I'm not understanding you... So I repeat myself again, until I figure out that I was pretty much asking him: " where can I fuck the bus driver?! Hehehehe -- gotta love the language! I''m pretty sure they don't understand my boricuazo! Hehehehe

D O M I N G O : S U N D A Y

ENOUGH SAID!! sunday's suck and you know it... tomorrow: MONDAY, haters!! lol

it was a good weekend!! yesterday i did absolutely nothing just groceries and chill. at night we went to this club called ACQUA! we went more like early in the morning since everything starts here at 2am.

unfortunately, the club wasn't exactly what i was expecting! it was REGGAETON all the way!
no more option but to shake it like a Polaroid! lol

so today i spent the day at San Telmo is one of the oldest barrios of Buenos Aires, where the president's house is located and so many other important buildings. They also have every sunday the "feria" or "tianguis" full or crafts and antiques.

it was a nice relaxing weekend... ready for another hectic week of 12 hrs days!! yayyyyy ;-|

here's the link for some pictures from San Telmo.

p.s.
i met the cutest schnauzer named, boludo!! look at the pic ;-)

Meet FURIA!

Woot woot! the first week at FURIA already passed by!!! we all got to work on projects and produce some work, which is awesome. Thursday we went to the digital agency where we will work for a few weeks and it was amazing! they do tons of 3D work and 360 campaigns... great work, looking forward to that!

what else?!! Oh Oh Oh also thrusday we all surrender and went to Mc Donalds!! I know shame shame shame, but it was damn good!! ;-)

yesterday it was the photoshoot for Vitamina, a women's clothing line from Argentina and it went really good. the model was nice and cute and didn't ate at all!! all she had was a sip of the coffee, a bite of a cracker and one piece of an apple!! typical scenario... in the meantime we were all eating Mc Donald's... ironic right!

after work brad, quinn and i went to KANSAS, an american bar!! awesome ribs with salad and fries! we all had dinner at 1am, horrible!!! people here eat sooo late!

today, we went to the supermerket and got tons of stuff for like $400 pesos = $102 US dollars... amazing!!
the fridge is full of beers and food.. good deal! also they have here delivery of your groceries for like $2.50US and you bet we paid for that!!! and if you use your debit card its 10% off ... pretty sweet for me!

also like in mexico you take the empty bottles of beer and they give you new ones filled up sometimes even for free depending on the price of the beer!! i'm telling you we are liking it here!

what else? what else?! ahhhhh, today i saw a poster that wisin y yandel are coming for a concert on may! its amazing how people here love reggaeton, its almost surreal to think that in others countries they play this music and that people are in love with them!! estamos en toas' jejejejeje

funny: i went to the stop and shop and ask for a straw "sorbeto" and the lady look at me kind of weird. so i ask how do you call this, and she said: "PAJA" jejejejejeje ok we all know what PAJA means... so i look at her like wtf?!! she started laughing.. mean old woman! she wanted me to say: dame una PAJA! por poco me coge de pende**** increible!!!

fotos:
this is FURIA the agency where i'm right now!!

It's been a WEEK!!

hola, HOLA, hola, HOLA!

it's been a few days that i haven't blog... i've been busy and tired! we started monday at the agency FURIA! pretty cool place. it's a small shop with tons of cool cretive decor and atmosphere. the people are really nice and teachers as well. so far it's 4 "classes" plus the work we get from guillermo the creative director.

-- FUNNY: guess what we had for the welcoming breakfast at the agency?! -- facturas!! LOL -- it's everywhere!!!

there's this designer/assistant from spain, her name is soraya. really sweet and nice, but can't barely speak english. she confused brad's name with brain and his hometown michigan with mexico! heheheheheh
poor brad now we call him brian the mexican!!!! it's the best joke ever.

we also signed for a place. it's a really nice apt located on "Las Cañitas" -- after almost 6 years of living by myself now i've roomates!!! i know, crazy!! anyway, we just moved last night.

what else?!! i've been eating tons of meat... and BREAD!! OMG! soo much bread... it's a like heaven. and sooo much walking burns quickly the bread. we had really good pizza yesterday and as always it had olives with PITS!! WTF?!!

it was a mess because we come to the agency from 10am till DONE, but we had to leave early to get our stuff from the hostel to the new place.... but it fells nice to finally start to unpack.

right now we are working on producing and art directing a photoshoot for vitamina -- a women's clothing line. we are picking models, location, props and so on! it will printed in magazines plus in the company portfolio... really exciting.

sooo far, liking a lot this country! -- ohhh BAD NOTE: tried today milanesas de pollo en un sandwich.. they were awful! i'm hoping that it was just the restaurant that serves bad food because seriously it was horrible!!!

photo: the worst milanesa in the whole word!!!

4.4.10

Oh-Oh-Oh!

soo today is easter!! happy easter or felices pascuas as they say in spanish. the last few days have been nice, although it kind of sucks everything was closed due to "semana santa". i guess that been for so long living on miami i kind of forgot how is it to be back to "latino world" where there's more holidays than work days.

we've been trying to get a place, yet no luck because everything is closed... ;-|

on friday quinn got here, so we went to show her around the area of "Las Cañitas" and did some walk around Palermo... really nice neighborhood full of galleries and mercados. i loved Palermo Soho, some really nice stores and places to eat.

we also went to this place called Shamrock.. a mix of irish and argentine. one thing i have to say: It's Sick!! People Here Make Out in Every Corner!! after a while is kind of annoying. --- anyway, shamrock was good. we had a few beers and laughed a lot.

that's one thing i've done the most!! LAUGH a lot!! the girls are really nice and kind of mean as well-- in a good way ;-) which sucks for brad since he needs to deal with us! hehehehehheehehe

soo, then saturday emmet got here. she came from sweden and she loves orange!!! she reminds me of mrs. carla zayas all happy and easy going... during the day we went to Recoleta and visit the cementary. since i haven't yet look for all the sight seens in the area i missed Evita Peron's grave. ;-( -- i will go back eventually. at night we had a "parrillada" here at the hostel. OMG, soo much food!! delicious choripan and insane chimichurri criollo... that's the best thing ever of baires... the food! i think its pretty clear in all my posts.... hehehehe

ohhh good story, i ask one guy: donde puedo coger el bus.... "where can i take the bus?" turnes out coger here means to fuck! lol another one for the book....

i also learned the weird names they have for fruits like: anana = piña = pineapple. pomelo=toronja=grapefruit

also everything here has olives and ham and cheese!-- weirdly they put olives but with pit!! i almost broke a tooth.., not good!! not good!!

today we went to San Telmo close to downtown. they have every sunday "el tianguis" which is a market where they sell all kind of goods and antiques. tons of leather too and cheap!!

tomorrow we start at the agency! gotta love latin peeps... we need to go at 10:30am for breakfast! lol
yeah right in the US is at 8am and you need to bring your own breakfast! hopefully they will not serve "facturas" hehehehe

ohhh it also got pretty cold today around 60 degrees. time to use all the jackets and scarfs!! gotta put on use all the outfits from those 3 suitcases! lol

ok, peace for now from baires! ché, buenas noches boludos!

Day 3: Viernes Santo

soo it's been already 4 days in argentina. the weather is pretty nice, around 72 partially cloudy and maybe rainy. today is viernes santo, so everything is kind of close. good to go for a walk and see the surroundings.

yesterday, brad got it (one of the guys from the internship) and we went around apartment hunting. we found a pretty nice apt on Las Cañitas, close Palermo. we also took "el subte" which is the subway. pretty funny... its kind of easy compare to NYC. we meet here at the hostel a group of peeps from australia and germany. we went for dinner to this place called "MILLION" close by the hostel... really nice. the food was amazing and the drinks too. we each pay in total for the whole night like $100 pesos = $29USD amazing!! in miami for $29 you dont even get empanadas... hehehehehe

after that we passed by Plaza Serrano in Palermo... awesome spot! full of bars/ restaurants and a good crowd. for a minute i felt like i was in Puerto Rico since they play reggaeton in every corner! and people loved it... even the Australian girl new a few songs... crazy!!

today, megan got it. she's also one of the girls from the internship group. she seems really nice... maybe she will be our roommate as well.

for now, just chilling and relaxing. getting some work done and hoping to go Puerto Madera later if the weather is good.

for the pictures:
top picture is from my first dinner: vacio, chorizo, bread, chimichurri sauce, beer, potatoes for like $9USD
second pic: argentina's bagel! its huge looks like a pancake
third pic: "el subte" the subway.
fourth pic: crazy guy on the street of palermo! lol

31.3.10

primer dia como una boluda!

first day @ argentina and i'm already exhausted!! landed early in the morning and came straight to my first location: El Sol Hostel! OMG... i've never been on a hostel so it was reality check when i had to fucking bring up my 3 heavy suitcases two the second floor of an old apartment!!! not good.

besides that, just the usual a miniature bathroom where the shower and the toilet are next to each other... easy access when in need... lol ...

so i decided to go and take a look at the city! the truth more like just a few blocks since i spent 6hours just walking on one of the principa street Ave. Santa Fe. seriously this is like NYC meets Old San Juan.. a really nice mix of modern and old style architecture with an european flair.

everybody walks and pretty fast, and like NYC if you dont cross the street fast enough the taxi will step on you...

my first stop was for breakfast. i had delicious orange juice with an assortment of breads. funny joke:
the girl tells me here's the "factura" immediately i'm thinking she's giving me the bill already. turns out factura is a pastry like a croissant, pretty good. so i ask her where's the factura.. and she's like you are eating it... i look at her with crazy eyes... lol ... Ohhhh, this is a factura! i told her this is a croissant... lol
she got upset. i eat the factura/croissant and left.

sooo, it turns out that each block her is approx. 100 metros! which is pretty long is you consider to get from one place to another is around 5 blocks = 500 metros!!! which inmediately made me hungry. time for merienda "lunch" yummy yummy. i ate at a really nice cafeteria and the food was cheap! i had a HUGE chicken empanada for less than a $1US that's good! and beer for like $1.25US... i'm already liking this place!!! lol

so i got lost and so-on and ended up at restaurant where he wanted to charge me $30 pesos = $7-8US and i said NOOO, i just pay $1.25 for beer and $1 for empanadas = $10 pesos .... the server looked at me kind of weird. i'm still trying to get used to the money conversion.

besides that i discover argentines eat too much sugar and sweets!!

Che Boludo... I'm here!!

Ok... soo I made it to Argentina a few hours ago! It seems like such an hectic city! Tons of traffic and people everywhere...

i have to say i’ve already suffer my first deception... yes, you american airles flight number 909 ---

it was 10pm on my way to argentina, which means dinner time!!! can you believe there was no CHURRASCO con CHIMICHURRI {no skirt steak} on this flight?!!!!! completely deception. lol

instead what we have is chicken or lasagna! WTH... i’m going international to the land of meat and you want me to have chicken or lasagna.... unbelievable!

also... movies are playing and what’s on the list.. AVATAR!! i was like “hell no”
hehehehehhehe instead i watch the saddest movie... Hachiko: A Dog's Story
if you have a dog this is a must!! i cry sooo much on the plane that i even got a headache... classic!

on the other hand a really nice argentine man sit next to me and gave me tons of suggestions for places to see and eat!! ;-) besides that ... i made it safely to argentina!

i have to get ready now to go out and get to know the city... i will post some paty aventuras later!!

PS:
Un vuelo para argentina sin churrasco con chimichurri es como volar a Puerto Rico y no aplaudir cuando aterrizamos.... lol ... en serio!!!!

30.3.10
